How far we have fallen with comedy. This was the golden era of show business, not a Karen in sight , wonderful.

After she folded up shop the matchmaker went on to co-own a candy factory with her brother, Wilburforce Claybourne Humphries, and then eventually wound up as the neighbor of a very particular tastemaker and social arbiter, Hyacinth Bucket, er,...ahem,...Bouquet. The magnificent Josephine Tewson!
